Deontray "Dee" Bernard Foster

Deontray B. Foster

was born on January 11, 1983 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Willie E. Foster and the late Julia Edwards.

He attended Irving Elementary, Geyer Middle and South Side High Schools. Deontray loved basketball and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan.  Early in life he became a member of the Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center.  He was a great people person loved by all.

“Dee” as he was known to us leaves to cherish many memories to his “Great Dedicated Super Dad”, Willie E. Foster; his mother in love, his aunt, Min. Mary Burnett-Woods; his children, DaNiyah Foster, Kayvion Jones, Justus Palmer and twins, Diamondik and Dezaraye Foster; his brothers, Terry Foster Lanard Foster and Willie Bass Foster; sisters, Paqunita Bass and Jackie Bass; a special uncle, Herchell Burnett and other uncles, Matthew Foster, Robert Foster, Terry Foster, Cliff Foster, Paul Edwards and Davis Edwards; his aunts, Dorothy Cook, Katie Thomas, Mary Cook, Carol Ball, Lucy Munford, and Huary Parker; and special friends of the family, Mary Glaspie and Glenda Buchanon; his longtime friend, Dauann Martin with a host of other relatives and friends.

Deontray was also preceded in death by his wife, Preyandina Jones-Foster, his sister, Sherry Glaspie; paternal grandparents, Matthew and Amanda (Hampton) Foster and maternal grandparents, Paul and Julia B. (Harris) Edwards, Sr.

  He passed from this life on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the age of 36. Gone but never forgotten.
