Eddie Mae Sanders Obituary

Eddie Mae Sanders was born on November 21, 1947 to the late
Eddie and Lucile Sanders in Marion, Alabama. Eddie Mae give her
life to Christ at a early age after high school she moved to Chicago
Illinois in 1966 she later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she
worked at Manco Sports as quality control specialist for 35 years ,
Eddie Mae joined Friendship Baptist Church were she served on the
usher board and a faithful member until God called her home ,Eddie
Mae loved the Lord.



Eddie Mae attended Lincoln High School in Marion,
Alabama and graduated from Robert C. Hedge High in 1966
in Union Town, Alabama. She was one of the original foot
soldiers, part of the Bloody Sunday on March 7, 1965.
Eddie Mae leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter
Andrea (Tiny) Sanders,(William Childs), granddaughters
Jessica Miller and Bianca Sanders, and her great
granddaughter Lej’n Sanders. Four sisters Geneva DukesFort Wayne, Indiana, Essie (James Jackson) - Niagara
Falls, New York, Claudia Brown - Buffalo, New York ,
Dorothy (Arthur Dotson) - Tylertown Mississippi ; two
brothers Leroy (Carol Sanders) - Niagara Falls , New York.,
Jimmy (Ernestine Fischer) - Fort Wayne, In. ; her special
daughters and son, who were not biologically hers, but hers in heart,
Tamulea Miller, Terra (Cleodis Collins) and Jamar A. Turner;
and a whole host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.



Eddie Mae enjoyed outdoor activities and doing work
around her home. She loved the Chicago Bears, White Sox,
that green Ford Taurus. She loved her great grand baby,
and her sugar boos. She enjoyed traveling to Alabama with
her siblings, and catching up with her childhood friends, and
Sunday dinners after Church with the family. She was a
great backseat driver. Eddie Mae was a great strong
woman!
