Edward Anderson Jr. Obituary

   Edward David Anderson, Jr. was born prematurely on January 18, 1960, at 2 lbs. 10 oz. as a fighter.  He had numerous surgeries as a child so he would be able to walk with the aid of crutches and or canes. He was an Easter Seal poster child.  He loved to swim and being a Boy Scout. After graduating from Wayne High School he attended IPFW and majored in Computer Science, then he transferred to DeVry University and majored in Electrical Engineering before receiving two degrees from ITT Technical Institute an AAS in Electronics Engineering and a BAS in Automated Manufacturing Technology where he assisted his instructor in class. David enjoyed playing cards, board games, computer games, gadgets, going to the movies, spending time with family and friends, and with his many nieces and nephews.  They loved playing with his canes and pretending other objects were their canes.

 

   He worked for the Fort Wayne Parks Department during his early college years teaching kids how to play chess, checkers, backgannon, box hockey, Mancala, and other games.  David tutored family and friends in math. He was a good cook, fun brother, and always called you on your birthday or to check up on you.  He even reminded a special cousin of when the Lakers played.

 

   David was good with statistics, computers, facts and was intelligent. He kept up with inventions, celebrities, sports, t.v. shows and movies which he had a large movie collection.

 

   David departed this life on January 1, 2022. He accepted Jesus Christ in his life as a young man. He enjoyed church service.

 

   David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward D. Sr. and Willie B. (Townes) Anderson and two sisters, Beatrice and Brenda Diane Anderson.

 

   He leaves to cherish his memories: sisters, Betty (Hank) Sims, Debbie Anderson, Penney Whitlow, Necy Anderson, and Rosemary Anderson; brother, Marcus Anderson; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one great great niece. His aunts, Carrie B. Beverly and Ann (J.C.) Wright, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
