Faye E Wells

Faye E. Wells, age 89, exchanged time for eternity on Sunday December 5, 2021 at Parkview Memorial Hospital-Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on March 16, 1932 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she attended catholic school. She was affectionately known and called by many "Mother Wells", which showed her positive and enormous "mothering" impact on so many lives. 

She was a charter member of True Love Baptist Church originally serving under the late Bishop Jesse White and continued to faithfully serve under her beloved Pastor Robert Bell until her passing.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with her son, Donald L. Dixon of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Carissa Dixon; four brothers, Moses Weir of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Collice (CB) Jr. (Carolee) Ford of Houston, Texas, Rev. Elliot (Sallie) Ford of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Ellis (Dr. Daquesha) Ford of Atlanta, Georgia; three remaining sisters, Liz Peterson of Fort Wayne, IN, Rose (Rev. Jackie T) Lewis of Dallas, Texas, and Odessa Ford of Atlanta, Georgia;  five great grandchildren, Marquel and Derek Ford, Treva Datcher, Landon and Larissa Perry, and six great-great grandchildren. A special niece she helped personally raise, Lisa Kendrix, and a host of other beloved nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Carlisle; her parents, Collice "CB" Ford and Elizabeth Birmingham; three sisters, Ruth M. Kendrix, Annie Mae Tolbert and Lois Erby and one brother, Nolan Tolbert.

Service will be held from 10-11 am Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at True Love Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation is from 9 -10 am. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park immediately following service. 
 

Services will be streamed live on True Love's Facebook page. Due to Covid no repast will be held.
