Gary Dewayne White was born October 31, 1959. He was second child born to Alma Jacqueline “Jackie” White and Willie Clark Raines in Fort Wayne, IN. He departed this life on May 22, 2021 at home under the care of his devoted companion.
He was introduced to Christ at an early age where he was a member at Jerusalem Baptist Church alongside his mother and siblings, under the leadership of the late Rev. Samuel Walker Jr.
He completed his high school education at Snider High School and shortly after he joined into the United States Marine Corp. After he completed his time of service he relocated to North Carolina.
Gary was the “go to man” and was there to help anyone in need of a hand. He enjoyed being around his family cracking jokes and making everyone laugh, he became dedicated the past few years to barbequing for the General Motors Retiree Panics, he also enjoyed playing bingo, and had an endless love for Rottweilers. He was known for his loud bark, if you heard it in a crowd or down the street you knew it was him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Gary White Jr. of Georgia and Johnathan White of North Carolina. His three daughters, Teresa Church, Dinky Church and Janoah Norris all of Fort Wayne, IN. His maternal siblings, James White, Jeffery (Deloris) White of Virginia Beach and Kenneth White of Fort Wayne, IN. His paternal siblings, Randy Raines, Ryan Raines both of Fort Wayne, IN. Timothy Raines of Georgia and Nicole Collins of Fort Wayne and his loving companion and life partner Paula Kelso of Fort Wayne, IN along with a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
