It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of
Mother Gassie M. Green
Gassie M. Green, age 89, passed away on January 28, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born on June 13, 1930 in Uniontown, Alabama to William and Mary (Dittley) Tinker Sr.
She was a licensed cosmetologist and retired from the Fort Wayne State Development Center after more than 40 years of service.
Mother Gassie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John C. Green Sr., a son, Edward Carlisle Sample and seven siblings.
Surviving are one daughter, Queen L. Green-Harrell; two sons, John Curtis Jr. (Ethel) and Tony Ray Green; one sister, Queen E. Green along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
