Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Gladys Evelyn (Wise) Presley.

Gladys Evelyn (Wise) Presley

Evelyn, as she was known by many, was born on March 28, 1927. On September 19, 1952, she received the gift of a beloved companion in her spouse, Douglas Wayne Presley, who preceded her in death.

She was blessed with the gift of nine children: Robert (deceased), Emmett (Dorothy), Karen (Arthur), Alan (Emily), Susan (John), Patricia (Clarence), Jeffrey (Tonya), Lisa and Christopher; 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

God blessed Evelyn’s life with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, church, work, and in her community.

Finally, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, God blessed Evelyn with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
