GREGORY LYNN STEPHENS “CANNON”

Loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Gregory Lynn Stephens “Cannon” was born on April 27, 1958, to Ezell and Rosetta Stephens in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the seventh child out of ten children. He departed this life on September 9, 2021.

Gregory graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1976 and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Science in Business with a major in Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. While at IU he became a member of Alpha Chapter, of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. on April 6, 1978.  His line name was 4thOrder of the 10 SOS.

In 1989, he met the love of his life and married Sharon on November 3, 1990. They enjoyed traveling the world together.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 30 1/2 years Sharon Stephens; siblings, Diana (Arnold) Scruggs, Frederick (Geraldine) Stephens, Peggy Stephens-Williams, Jeffery (Donna) Smith, Shelton (Nina) Stephens, Curtis Stephens Sr. and Gwendolyn (Lewis) Poindexter; uncles, Isaac “Hut” Stephens and Robert Dowdell; aunts, Loucille Allen and Angeline (Jesse) Barron; a special cousin HenryEtta Savage and a host of many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
