Born January 12, 1940 in Fort Wayne,Indiana, Hardy Raymon Grant, known as “Grandadums or Uncle Hobb” to family and close friends, passed peacefully at age 80 on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Lutheran Life Villages.
He was the beloved son of the late Paymon and Minerva Grant.
Hardy was a graduate of Central High School. He later retired from Army Reserve and General Electric after 40 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 148. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, dancing, singing and traveling.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Camille Grant Morrow, Gwen Williams, Carmen Molton; five sisters, Vivian Grant, Turibba “Tabitha” Grant, Rosalie Chandler, Beverly Toles, Catherine Grant; one brother, Ulysses Grant; seven grandchildren, Quiondra Molton, Brett Eley II, Keige’-Alaire Lewis, Marcus Morrow II, Breonna Grant, Tequoia Williams, Maaryahni Williams; four great grandchildren, Quionna Molton, Qui’Nya Molton-Bowens, Mylan Lewis, Leigh Ward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paymon and Minerva Grant, sisters, Airlean Hutchins, Anna Chaney, Callie Wimberly, Essie Grant-Kurtz; brothers, James, Felix, Roger and Thomas Grant.
