Helen Faye Nolan Obituary

Helen Faye Nolan, daughter of the late Geraldine Pierce and Edward L. Scott, was born on June 11, 1930, in Newbern, Tennessee. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized Presbyterian, and later was a member of Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. When she relocated from Tennessee to Fort Wayne, she also attended Gomez Temple A.M.E. Church.

Helen is survived by her sons Daniel K. (Margaret) Nolan, Thomas “Eddie” (Karen) Nolan Sr., and daughter Mary (Robert) Tyree; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Thomas McKinley Nolan; grandson, Daniel M. Nolan, mother, Geraldine Pierce, father, Edward L. Scott, brothers, Raymond (Louise) Scott, Otis O.W. (Ruby) Scott, Leroy Scott, Uncle Ell Scott, Aunt Ola Scott, Jim, Bertha Pierce, special Aunt who raised her Irene Pierce Walker (Tee Tee).
