Jai’Breyn Armon “Jai” Lewis was born in January 26, 1993 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Deaundra Lewis and Bernard Pearson. He departed this earthly life on July 11, 2020.
“Jai” accepted Christ and was baptized several years ago by Pastor David Moore, Victory Worship Center. He attended Elmhurst and Northrop high schools and later obtained his GED. He had a love for football and played during his high school years at Elmhurst.
“Jai” loved to spend time with his family and friends and he especially loved being with his beautiful children. He liked to joke around and pull pranks on everyone, but it was all done out of love.
Throughout our lives, we usually meet our best friend in a traditional manner. Not “Jai”. He met his in the most unconventional way you could ever imagine. During his sixth grade year at Portage Middle School, “Jai” engaged in a fist fight with a boy named Cutter and won the fight. “Jai” actually won twice because he gained a lifetime friend, the best friend a person could ever ask for. They both won.
“Jai” leaves to carry his memory in their hearts, children, Nyla, Nevaeh, Jai’Breyn, Legend, and Nasir, his parents, Deaundra and Bernard, brothers, Ja’Nard and Bryson, sister, JaNyea’; grandparents, Candace Lewis, Harold (Dorothy) Davis, Jr and Josella Pearson, special cousin Gloria Brown, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends, partner Kairah Oren, best friend for life, Cutter Strickland and Haley Campbell.
“Jai” was preceded in death by great grandparents, Robert and Billie Lewis, Harold and Estell Davis Sr., and Rev. Neal Pearson.
