James Louis Bibbs was 53 years old when he passed from this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at approximately 11:40 p.m. at his home.
He was born on April 21, 1966 in New Madrid, Missouri to Laverne Bibbs and James Brockman.
On April 1, 2005, he was united in holy matrimony to Joetta McDonald.
James worked for the Fort Wayne Foundry and Hot Crews.
James loved to talk and go fishing. He loved the game of basketball and had great ball skills. He was an avid bike rider and would ride everywhere, unless it was too cold. He was a great boxer, a great cook and made the best fried potatoes. One of his favorite songs was “Walk with Me Lord”. He had a special love for church mother, Mother Martha Morgan Harris.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved wife, Joetta Bibbs; five sons, James Saylor, Tyrell and Tyrese Underwood all of Fort Wayne, IN, Daqawn Peoples of Anderson, IN and Mahkem Fool of Oklahoma; five daughters, Vanessa Saylor, Monique Bibbs, Simmara and Sierra Upchurch all of Fort Wayne, IN and JaQualya Berry of Indianapolis, IN; 12 grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Laverne and William Jones of Fort Wayne, IN; father, James Brockman of Racine, WI; brother, Jerry (Christi) Bibbs of Fort Wayne, IN; a brother-in-law, Thomas (Stephanie) McDonald Jr., sisters-in-law, Roberta McDonald and Tammy (Carlton) Hardin; three aunts, Lula Moore and Sylvia Bibbs of Fort Wayne IN, Sallie (Frank) Robinson of Detroit, MI, uncles Robert and Melvin Bibbs of Fort Wayne IN; special cousins, Ronald & Donald Buchanan of Fort Wayne IN, Brenda, Michelle and Sylvester Bibbs, all of Fort Wayne IN. Childhood friends “brothers from another mother”, Keith Jones of Indianapolis and Kevin Jones of Fort Wayne IN and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Viola Bibbs and an uncle, Eugene Bibbs.
James was suddenly gone from this life but will forever remain in our hearts.
He will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
