Janet Kay (Burns) Ausdran

Janet Kay (Burns) Ausdran passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was born on May 20, 1942, to Ralph and Dorothy Lucille (Marquell) Burns in Muncie, IN. Her father passed away when she was two, and her mother married Francis (Bud) McPheeters when Jan was four. He raised Jan as his only child. She graduated from Muncie Central and Fort Wayne Business College. She then lived in Los Angeles for a few years. On a visit back to Indiana, she met Joe, whom she married on November 22, 1963. Joe and Jan had three daughters. She was a retired school bus driver for EACS and had her own income tax business. Jan was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1975 and was a member of the Fremont Congregation in Angola, IN. Jan is survived by three daughters: Lori (Mark) Benson, Michelle (David) Ellis, and Nicole (Michael) Fagan. Her grandkids are Caitlin (Darren) Bontrager, Corey (Demi) Ellis, Taylor Fagan, Trayton Fagan, and Kyle Ellis, along with three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Vanessa Ellis.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 3 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2725 IN-827, Angola, IN.  A dinner will follow in the Fremont High School cafeteria in Fremont, IN. Please contact the family for Zoom information if you are unable to attend in person.
