Jerome Clark, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was born on June 6, 1946, to Anna Mae Clark-Muff in Fort Wayne, IN. He was the second oldest of seven children.
Jerome was known as a man who was fashionable and classy. He truly loved his family and believed in family loving and being there for one another and was an excellent example of what a father should be. Jerome was a selfless man, with a heart to serve others and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone who crossed his path.
He accepted Christ and became a member of Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jesse White. He later became a faithful member of Cathedral of Praise Ministries under Apostle Dr. Oscar Nelson Dowdell-Underwood.
Jerome graduated from Central High School in 1964, became a trained barber in 1966, graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Human Services and an Associate Degree of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana Institute of Technology May 14, 2001. A Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Indiana Institute of Technology December 22, 2012, and a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Institute of Technology June 15, 2015.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancé and his heart’s desire Gail Wade; his daughters: April Paige, Kimberly Sanders, Rockell (Reginald) Allen, Dameta (Juan) Williams all of Fort Wayne, IN, Deborah (James) Parrish-Hannah of Montgomery, AL., two twin boys, Damon (Lindsay) Parrish, and Darren (Ashley) Parrish Clark of Atlanta, GA, 24 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Lee Clark of Fort Wayne, IN, Janice Murray of Portland,OR, and Michael Muff (Wanda) of Indianapolis, IN; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
Waiting at Heaven’s Gate to welcome Jerome home are his grandmother, Evelyn Evans; his mother, Anna Mae Clark-Muff; his angel, Rose Scurlock; his aunt, Idella Windom and his siblings, Otis Clark, Allen Muff, and Janet Muff.
