J.Michael T. Harris was born August 28,1966 to Eddie and Doris (Howard) Harris, as the youngest of six children.

Michael transitioned on Thursday, December 28. 2023.

Michael loved the Lord, he was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1975 by Reverend Sam Shade. His love for the Lord was evident in how he treated his family and friends. Michael graduated from South Side School in 1985, going on to IU Bloomington. Michael began working for the GTE Phone Mart in 1987; he was employed through several company name changes and accrued 36 years of service.

Michael loved life, his family and close circle of friends. He believed in showing his love for you through his actions. He never hesitated to acknowledge the anniversaries, births, birthdays, graduations, promotions, etc. Michael loved giving, it was one of his love languages.

Michael is missed by his siblings; Rotonda, Gayle and Eric. His nieces and nephews: Courtney Sr., Candace, Elicia, Renauld, Durane, RaeWynn, Elaena, E' Mon and Evan. His great nieces and nephews; Courtney Jr.. Charisma, De ja, Marissa, Renauld Jr., Raelin Tre, Ryleigh, Emery June and Demarcus. His great-great nieces, Jada and Reagan. His sister-in-law, Robin Harris Aunts and uncle: Mary Kate Woods of Chicago, IL; Josephine Oakes of Detroit, MI and Willodean and James Howard of Fort Wayne, IN.  Cousins, close friends and treasured co-workers.

Michael was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Marcia Harris and Edward Harris Sr.; his grandparents, John Essex Howard Sr. and Louise Howard, Mary Ann Martin and Benjamin Harris; aunts and uncles, John and Dorothy Howard, Eva Hawes, Susan Howard and Ernest Woods Sr.; first cousin, Tracy Lynn Howard and special friend Robin Padgett Cory.
