Judith "Judy" (Anderson) Boyd

Judith Laynell (Anderson) Boyd was born on August 22, 1963 to Hattie Norfleet and the late Willie Anderson in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Wayne High School where she participated in Track & Field and Gymnastics.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Samuel Walker.

Judith worked for Furniture Row for many years. She was often the top sale associate and earned many awards. If you knew her, you know she loved to dress, kept her hair done and always looked her best. In the family, she was known as the “DIVA”.

She departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.  She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Judith leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years, Kenderick Boyd Sr.; one son,  Kenderick Boyd Jr.; one daughter, Roshanda (Adam) Thatcher; five grandchildren, Keiontae Webb, Adrian Portee, Kyjah Boyd, Arielle Thatcher and Amanda Thatcher; her mother, Hattie (William) Norfleet; one brother, Willie ”Bodee” Anderson and  two sisters, Doris (John) Williams and Janice Maston all of Fort Wayne, Indiana;  one sister-in-law, Gina Dodson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Boyd of Edgewood, Kentucky and Diteric Boyd of Fort Wayne, Indiana, along with  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Anderson; two sisters, Kimberly Anderson and Linda Petrie and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Lucille Boyd.

Judy will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery
