JULIA LeSHORE, age 88, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
She was born September 30, 1932 in Marion, Alabama.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized.
About two years after her marriage to Johnnie LeShore, they later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with their two children, Annie and Johnnie Jr.
Upon her arrival she joined Progessive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jesse White.
Mother LeShore became a charter member of True Love Missionary Baptist when founded by the late Bishop Jesse White. She continued her faithful membership through the years serving on the Mother’s Board, singing in the choir and preparing the communion table.
She retired from Fort Wayne State Developmental Center.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Doris LeShore-Lewis (Albert), Frances LeShore, Susan "Kay" LeSore-Stephens (Brent), Laura "Gloria" LeShore-Boykin (Danny), and Cornella LeShore; sons, Johnnie (Gwen) LeShore Jr. and Edwin (Jeanetta) LeShore; along with a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held noon on Friday, December 11, 2020, at True Love Baptist Church, 715 E. Wallace St. where the Pastor Robert Bell will be the eulogist.
Mother LeShore will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery.
