Kathleen Hill Kelly

Kathleen Carlisle Hill Kelly was born August 7, 1950 and returned to her heavenly home on July 20, 2021. She was born and raised by her mothers, Beryl Hill and Edna Mae Hellen and her fathers, Pastor Jesse Hill and Dave Hellen.

Kathleen attended Harmar Elementary, Central Jr. High, and was an adored member of the Central High School Class of 1968 before continuing her studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Kathleen was baptized at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church before becoming a faithful member of Union Baptist Church.  As an accomplished singer/ songwriter, Kathleen was best known for her extraordinary love for music, love for her daughter and grandchildren and her love of the Lord.

Kathleen was also incredibly loyal. She was a valued employee of the Old Fort YMCA, instilled a passion for music and some "do right" in hundreds of piano students,  exercised her civic duty as a dedicated voter registration volunteer and was a staple in the Union Baptist Church Music Ministry playing piano and singing up until the moment she went on to join the “Heavenly Band” she often referred to. 

Among those that preceded her in death were her parents, brothers, Timothy and Jesse (Sandra) and her special sister, Mary Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Andrea; grandchildren, Raffe'l and Mea; sisters, Dorris, Rena, Helena (Clarence) and Belinda and brothers, Dave, Terry, Jeffrey and David. She also leaves a host of other family, students, friends, and friends that were like family.  
 

Kathleen will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery.
