Kevin Lynch Obituary

Born to Isaac “Jimmy” and the late Virginia *Ginya” Lynch at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

                               And this is His story...

At the age of 15, Kevin accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4 , 1980 by
Reverend Smith at Progressive Baptist Church. He has been affiliated with various churches throughout the city, coming with an open heart ready to receive God’s word.

Kevin attended Fort Wayne Community Schools, however his higher education was acquired from life’s experiences. Kevin was blessed with many gifts and talents. He was an artist, a chef, a creator, an entrepreneur, a maven and a motivator.

Here are a few things Urban Dictionary says about the name Kevin. Sweet and handsome man that everyone wants to get to know, he never fails to make you laugh. A Kevin knows how to bring you back down to Earth, he can talk to you for hours and the conversation never gets old. A Kevin can be quite the head turner. There is never a dull moment with a Kevin. Kevin Delane possessed all of those qualities, as well as being a trend setter, perfectionist and procrastinator who never met a stranger. His infectious smile would light up any room, and spread faster than COVID! When Kevin came on the scene everyone knew. Not only was he seen, he demanded to be heard. Oh, he had a way with words. We can’t tell it all, just know he wore many hats. I mean that literally!

Kevin pledged allegiance to a particular group fellas who called themselves SGS (Gent Love). Now you may think this is a name of a gang, but it isn’t. They were just some fellas from around the way dressed to the 9’s in their campaigns!

As Kevin’s health declined, he told us of an upcoming big court date. One in which he could not be represented by Johnny Cochran or Robert Shapiro. He told us there was only one who could get the job done. His name is Jesus and he would be acquitted of all charges. He asked the Lord to forgive him of his sins, every wrong doing, things said or thought and even things he was unaware of. He had is business fixed and stated on numerous occasions he was waiting on the Lord or his Mama to come get him. On Thursday, August 6,  2020 they took him home to glory.

Kevin was known by many names over the years. Brother, cousin, Dad, uncle, friend, Lucky Lynchaveli, Lynch Mob, Pooch and Babe but most of all he wanted to be called a child of the most high God. Although Kevin was small in stature he had an enormous heart.

Our Kevin leaves to cherish his memories his father, Jimmy Lynch; a son, Khristopher Harvey; daughters, Fay Waller, Alexis Lynch and Keiona Waller; brothers, Anthony “Tony” Lynch (Wife-Linda) and Isaac “Skip” Bell; sisters, Arnetta Ford, Gwendolyn “Diane” Lynch, Karla Lynch-Jackson (Husband-Guy) and Quindara Bell; special nieces, Jaelyn, Jazlan and Kyndal, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
