Kirt Alan Fitzhugh

Kirt Alan Fitzhugh was born on September 29, 1965 to the late William H. and Jeanette V. (Bannigan) Fitzhugh, III.  He departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Kirt was affectionately known as “Tiger” throughout his childhood and later as “Shorty” and “Smiley by many of his friends.

Kirt was passionate about fishing. He was frequently seen heading to a fishing spot, even in his wheelchair.

Kirt will lovingly be remembered by his sisters, Iris Wade of Fort Wayne; Barbara Neal of Houston, Texas; Joyce McKinley of Fort Wayne; and Gale Harris of Memphis, Tennessee; his brothers, Bryan Fitzhugh of Michigan City, Indiana and Dale Fitzhugh Fort Wayne; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Harris of Memphis; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Kirt will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
