Laemond Kimbley Sr. Obituary

Laemond Lee Kimbley Sr. was born on Thursday, February 28, 1963 to the late Lynda and Lawrence Ridley.  He was nurtured by Luetta and Floyd Kimbley. From an early age, he exhibited a deep faith, dedicating his life to Christ while attending Bethlehem Lutheran Church and later converting to True Love Baptist Church.

During his teenage years, Laemond showcased his athletic abilities by playing basketball at Southside High School, where he graduated in 1982.  He had a love for cars, especially Corvettes, and took great pride in his appearance, often dressing as if he were a model on the cover of GQ magazine. Renowned for his captivating storytelling, Laemond began his career at the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center, after high school.  He later established his own car dealership,"Pino Auto Sales".  He worked for and retired from Rae Magnet Wire.

Laemond left an extraordinary legacy within his community.  As a devoted member of the 32nd Shriners, he was widely recognized for his generosity, volunteer work and steadfast commitment to aiding those in need.  Friends and neighbors frequently remarked that he was the type of person who would selflessly give the shirt of his back to anyone in need.  His thoughtful acts of kindness will always be cherished. Laemond lived life by his own principles, and his deep affection for his friends and family ensures that his legacy will endure.

Laemond is survived by his father, Lawrence Ridley; his wife, of 32 years, Lisa Fincher; and his children: David Oliver, Tavara Tucker, Elizabeth Walter, Lashyra (Maestro) Dial, Andrea Kendrick, Heaven Fowlkes, Laemond Kimbley Jr., and Rasheida Mcelvene.  Additionally, he leaves behind bonus children: Latonya Fincher, Jerome Fincher, Jamel Fincher, Jamarcus Fincher, and Jamar Fincher.  Laemond was also survived by 28 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends, including his best friend, Larry Tinker, whom he affectionately called his "partna".

Laemond was preceded in death by his mothers, Linda Ridley and Luetta Kimbley; his father, Floyd Kimbley; and his daughter Tanisha Tinker.
