Larry Artrell Jones, “Crunch” was born on March 7, 1974 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and departed his life peacefully on July 31st, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Luci Denise Jones and Larry James Reese; grandmother, Mrs. Clara Jones; grandfather, Calvin Jones; and Mr. & Mrs. Albert Reese Sr.

Larry attended Northrop High School, received his GED and pursued classes at Ivy Tech Community College with vocational training in HVAC. Larry worked in several different capacities over the years with his most recent occupation at R&K Barbecue Restaurant (Houston, Texas) as a kitchen prep and customer service representative. He was a CNC Machine Operator with Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Americas (New Haven, Indiana) and Bell’s Recording Studio (Fort Wayne, Indiana) where he pursued his greatest passion in music by developing artists, music production and compositions. He handled A&R duties and promotion management. Some of his early compositions are registered with the Library of Congress in Washington, DC and his most recent release was a self-titled “Crunch Time” cd with video “Murdering Tracks” produced by J Tizzle Muzic/Affluent Records.

Left to cherish his memory is his stepmom, Joyce Gaines Reese, sons – Artrell Daishon Scroggins, Christopher Aristotle King; daughters, Milesia Hogue and Myonta Hall; stepson, Larry Antonio Jones; stepdaughter, Larrionna Walker; siblings: Ebony (Brian) Scott, Cameron (Valerie) Belcher, Kristopher Belcher, Ashanti (Ryan) Hill, Natasha (Trent) Miles, and Sajeh (Dawn) Richard; aunts : Pamela Jones (Houston), Robin Hurt (Ohio), Tonya Jones (Houston), Queen Esther Dubose, Patricia and Melinda Reese (Fort Wayne); uncles: James Washington, Jr. (Fort Wayne), Greg Jones (Ohio) and Tyrone Jones (Houston); the entire Reese family and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at Union Baptist Church, 2200 Smith Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46803. Viewing: 10a to 12p. Service immediately following at 12 noon. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home
