Leo Underwood

Leo Underwood was born December 6, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama to Octavia and Felton Underwood, Sr.  He departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Celebrate Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, IN at the age of 78.  Leo was a Bible student of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Leo’s family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1952.  Leo loved listening to B.B. King, The Temptations, and Bobby Blue Bland as he “tried” to sing along.  He was a maintenance worker, roofer, and painter.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents: Octavia and Felton Underwood Sr.  Siblings: James Underwood, Lawson Underwood Sr., Felton Underwood Jr., Preston Underwood, and Lucinda Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Tracey Underwood, Nicole Underwood, Bryant (Lynn) Underwood, Tammy Underwood, Corey Green, Mark Green, and Angel Garcia.  All of Fort Wayne, IN.  Christopher Waller (Fayetteville, NC), Anthony Waller (Collinsville, VA) and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sisters: Maggie Lyons (Fort Wayne, IN), Pauline Grant (Dayton, OH), Ann (Tyrone) Davie (Fort Wayne, IN) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
