Liflo C. Queary

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Psalm 118:24

Each day is a rich and precious gift from God, with new grace and new opportunities. Jesus says that we have only this one day, and we must not be anxious for the day tomorrow.

Liflo Carolyn Queary was born on August 1, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN.  She is the daughter of the late John Herman and Helen Babb. She married Joe Queary.

Liflo was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church.

She retired from Fort Wayne State Developmental Center.  

She was a caring person who loved everyone, and enjoyed spending time with her family. You never heard her say anything negative about a person. She was always working and enjoyed caring for all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridget Queary; one sister, Delores Redmond; one grandson, Breck Queary; great-grandchildren, Diana Griggs, Deresha Whitt, Breashia Queary, Korta Thomas, Breck Queary Jr, and Bravion Queary; great-great grandchildren, Jakoby Thomas, Mileah Queary, Messiah Thomas and Asante’ Smith Jr; nephews, Terrance Moore and Galen Babb Jr; nieces, Anita Babb, Gail Redmond, Cynthia Martin, Carol Stephens (Pastor Julius), and Camille Douglas; and bonus daughter, Janice Wright.

Liflo was preceded in death by her son, Larry Queary; brothers, Herman Babb and Galen Babb; sisters, Theresa Moore and Constance Babb; her grandson, Korta Queary; and great-granddaughter, Tionna Rogan.
