On June 30, 1944, our most wise and perfect God blessed the late Wesley and Gladys Anderson with a daughter whom they named Linda Sue Anderson. Linda’s parents loved and spoiled her as a child and adult, and likewise she reciprocated that love. Linda was born and raised in Talihina, Oklahoma. She graduated from Talihina High School. Linda moved to Junction City, Kansas as a young adult. She retired from Fort Riley Army Base in Junction City, Kansas where she had worked in the finance department. Donald, Linda, and Michael moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 2008.
Linda was a person who loved deeply and was deeply loved. Linda’s greatest love was God. She confessed God at an early age and was given the promise of eternal life because of her belief and confession.
Like God’s unconditional love for us, Linda displayed that same unconditional love for her only child, her daughter, Terri Snowden, and her only grandson, Michael Waters, who ultimately became her care helper in her later years. Although about 1250 miles separated Linda from Terri, who lives in Lehigh, Florida, her phone was a new best friend as it was their way of daily communication down through the years in between their much-loved visits. Linda also genuinely loved her son in law, Rufus Snowden, her ex-husband (of 42 years), Donald Green, her family, her in-laws, her friends, and her beloved Chihuahua, Lily.
Linda was extremely outgoing and she never met a stranger. Linda was the neighborhood watch patrol, a hugger as well as a talker: her neighborhood patrolling, her hugs and her voice will be dearly missed by all those she leaves behind.
