Lloyd Joseph “Mickey” Moore, was born October 8,1936 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the eldest child of the late Pearl Patterson and late L. C. Moore. On January 2, 2020, Lloyd passed away at Lutheran Life Villages. Mickey, as everyone called him, was a graduate of Central Catholic High School where he excelled in football. After graduation, he began working for Navistar until his retirement after 38 years of service.
He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was later baptized at lmani Baptist Temple, and remained a member until his death.
Mickey loved life, his friends and family. An extremely devoted father, Mickey married Betty Jones in 1956, with whom he had six children: Valrese Wallace of Memphis TN, Antonette Reese of Bloomingdale, IL, Lloyd (Danielle) Moore of Hampstead, NC, Kelvin and Jackie Moore of Fort Wayne, IN and Gina Moore of Lansing, MI. Through his union with Barbara Woodson, he leaves two children, Bruce and Kim Woodson both of Fort Wayne, IN.
He is survived by four siblings: brothers ,Charles, James and Larry Patterson and beloved sister, Barbara Hudson, who was deeply devoted to his care until his death, all of Fort Wayne, IN; as well as special cousin (sister) Jewel "Sis" Walker of Memphis, TN. Mickey also leaves 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mickey was also preceded in death by his brother, Julius Patterson, step-daughter Bonita Woodson, and significant other, Lenore Dixie.
