Loretta Mae Sinclair, age 71, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. Born on April 16,1954 in Chicago, Illinois to her mother Pinkiie Carroll, Loretta grew up surrounded by family and the strong values of love, faith and community. She carried these values throughout her life, always placing her family and friends at the center of everything she did. Loretta was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. She had a warm, caring heart and a gentle spirit, always ready to offer guidance, support and encouragement to anyone in need.
Loretta is survived by her sons, Damien and Douglas Sallie; her brothers, Leonard and Walter Sharp and Terrell Carroll; and a host of grand-children, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jessie Carroll, Ophelia Jackson and Willie Sharp; her daughter, Dorothy Sharp; and her sons, John Robert Sharp Sr. and Richard Sharp.
Loretta’s faith and resilience were an inspiration to many. Through life’s challenges, she faced every obstacle with grace and courage, teaching, by example, the importance of strength, perseverance and unconditional love. She will be remembered for her generosity, her sense of humor and the countless ways she touched the lives of family, friends, and others.
Above all, Loretta loved deeply and without reservation. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished most. She leaves behind memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
