Maelean Williams Obituary

Maelean Williams was born June 16, 1934 in Pine Bluff Arkansas to her parents Horace Brewer and Ella Dockery.  She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church Fort Wayne Indiana, when it was located on Brackenridge, under the leadership of Rev. Hale and continued her membership under the late Rev. Clyde Adams and current pastor Rev. Dr. Timothy Lake.  She was a active member of the usher board.  
 
Maelean was married to Herbert Black and to this union two daughters were born Patricia Ann and Beverly Ann also raising her oldest grandson Cornelius DeWayne Wilson.  She later married Lunzy O. Gold and married Warner Williams sharing 34 years until his death in 2020.
 
Maelean worked for Magnavox 47 years and retired in 1998 as team leader.  She had the privilege to train wire & sauder to new hires at Ivy Tech.  She was a great athlete in basketball, softball with Babb Angels. She was an avid bowler an associate member of the National Traveling Bowling League, an original member of Matchgame Bowlers, and over 40 years with Van Wert Travelers.  Maelean loved her family and enjoyed all the get togethers.  You would know who she was by her unique and soft walk.  She had a step of her own and although she was small her walk and steps were big.
 
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted daughter, Patricia Ann (Albert) Reese, special daughter, Sharon (Andrew) Fuller, sister, Lillian Gold, one loving granddaughter, Anettris Diane (Tony) Starks, grandsons,Cornelius DeWayne (Marcella) Wilson, Patrick Tyrone (Jen) Wilson, Adrian Lee (Tanika) Reese, Maurice DeShawn Wilson, Kenneth Wilson II, 19 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Brewer and Ella Mathis, daughter, Beverly Ann (Kenneth) Wilson, grandsons, Albert Reese III and Albert Lamont Reese, great grandson, DeMar J. Menson.
