Marion Gean Ingol
A Loving, Mother,
Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend
was well known as “Gean”. At the age of 72 she passed away into Heaven peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born July 13, 1947, in Leeds, Alabama to the late M.W.C. & Hattie (Parnell) Ingol. Gean was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at an early age by late Pastor Rev. Phillip H. Love.
Gean attended Study Harmon Elementary School and graduated from Central High School. She was previously employed with ACEOC for many years, then worked at Park Center for over 30 years until retirement.
Gean was one of the founders and organizers of the 1979 Fort Wayne Black Expo, and a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
Gean cherished her family and friends and looked forward to being around them. Left here to cherish her memories are her son, Antoine Ingol (Kristy Hines); four siblings, sister, Elizabeth Ingol; brothers, Willie Ingol, Tyrone Ingol (Erica), and Bernard Ingol (Pamela); 10 grandchildren, Treshawn Harris, ShaBrayia Sims, Antoine Ingol Jr., Dreontre’ McGown, I’JulaiIngol, A’Naria Ingol, Marion Ingol, Krisette Hines, Tina Bradley, Hattie Mae Ingol, and one great-granddaughter, Kalie Mae; special nephews, Lester L. Ingol (Marie), Samuel Ingol; special nieces, Antawana Ingol, Patrice Williams, Ronda Grant, and Jaquetta Glaspie; aunts, Mamie Mason, Fannie Walker, Lula Mae Walker and Clara Walker; uncles, Thurman (Annie) Walker, William Walker, Robert Walker and Houston Walker and a host of special cousins and friends.
Waiting for Gean at the pearly gates of heaven are her parents M.W.C. and Hattie Mae Ingol; grandparents, Deacon Samuel and Rosie Walker, Sr., Hattie Parnell, Marion and Anna Ingol and Mary Mack; sisters, Patricia Ingol and Michelle Epperson; brother, Larry Wayne Ingol; aunts, Augusta Williams, Lillian Henderson, Beatrice Jones and Ella Mae Walker; uncles, Robert Williams, Sr., Rev. Dr. Samuel Walker Jr., Rev. Dr. Cornelius Walker, Rev. James Davis Walker, Deacon Joseph P. Walker, Willie Fred Walker and Albert Walker.
