Mark was born on December 11,1956 to William “Bud” and Dolores Benson. He was second out of eight children. Mark married his wife Lori on February 18, 2006.  Mark dedicated his life in baptism on June 2, 1973. He was a member of the Fremont Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Angola, Indiana. Mark’s faith was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time as a volunteer pioneer minister.

Family was very important to Mark and he loved spending time with his wife, and catching up with his siblings on zoom. He loved having young ones, and older ones over for dinner and game night. One of his great passions was his love of music. He was very talented and played many musical instruments; and he had a lovely singing voice.
He really enjoyed his trips back to South Dakota where he would go hiking in the mountains and spend time with his sisters and mom.

Mark is survived by his wife– Lori, his son Nathan, Mother-Dolores, Sister– Dawn, brothers– Jeff (Pam), Greg (Deanne), Timothy, and Nathan (Michelle). Mark was proceeded in death by his father William, brother Michael, and sister Shari.
