Michelle (Miki) Benton, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving a profound legacy of love and commitment to education and community service. Born on September 19, 1966, in Newark, New Jersey, she was the second of three children born to Clarence and Marian Benton. Michelle accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith throughout her lite.
A proud graduate of Royal High School in Simi Valley, California, in 1984, Michelle later relocated her family to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and traveld through Georgia, South Carolina. New York, and Texas, before returning to Fort Wayne, which sho affectionately referred to as her "Father's House." Michelle dedicated her life to serving others and was passionate about education, both her own and that of those around her. She was a staunch supporter of the Walters Academy for Entrepreneurship, a private school dedicated to empowering students in grades 5 through 12 with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed. Through her financial contributions and her commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit, she helped many young minds realize their potential. In her professional life, Michelle founded Doxa Business Solutions, a marketing company that thrived under her leadership. She managed several large corporations and used her talents to create impactful fundraisers for both for profit and non-profit organizations, earning numerous awards for her achievements.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Michelle was a cheerleader for others, always uplifting and encouraging those around her. She brought joy to every gathering with her radiant smile and kind words. Michelle loved nothing more than spending time with her family, particularly her son, daughter in love, and grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else. Her other passions included traveling, baking, and creating cherished memories with loved ones.
Standing at just 5'2" Michelle was a fearless leader who embodied love, kindness, and generosity. She was known for her fun-loving spirit, compassion, and unwavering support for others, always putting their needs ahead of her own. To know Michelle was to love her. and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Benton. She is survived by her mother. Marian Benton of Henderson, NV; her son, Brent (Christina) Parker-Benton of Fort Wayne, IN; and her siblings, Chansse Benton of Fort Wayne, IN, and Sean (Mallory) Benton of Los Angeles, CA. Her 9 grandchildren; Akira"Daniy'el, Brent "Yocef HaSheniy", Nolan "Benyamin", Ethan "Miyks 'EI". Aida "Abiygaiyl", Prince Judah, Shiloh Miysha "El. Perez Ariy Al, and Granddaughter in the womb, all ot Fort Wavne. In. Her Niece Ernn Benton of Fort Wavne, IN, Niece Meisha Martin-Benton Mossman of Augusta, Georgia, Nephew, Ondrico (Troy) Martin- Benton of Los Angeles, CA. Great niece Leilani, and Makayla Mossman in the womb Great nephews; Meko and Mekhi. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Her legacy of love, faith, and commitment to uplifting others will continue to inspire all who knew her.
