Minnie E Senter

Minnie Eva Senter, age 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana transitioned into the loving arms of the Lord, Saturday, May 4, 2019.

 She was born May 15, 1933, Newton County, Mississippi to the late Charlie and Emmie Jones.  She was the middle child of three, Arretta and Percy.  She graduated from Newton Vocational High School in 1951. She accepted Christ at eighteen years of age and is a member of Union Baptist Church.

Minnie married John Monroe Senter on June 5, 1954 and to this union four children were born.

Minnie received her Cosmetology certificate in 1963 from Stovall’s House of Beauty Culture.  In 1983, she opened the Senter of Attention Beauty Shop and continued until she became ill.  She was employed by Magnavox/Raytheon for 34 years in the Purchased Material Inspection Department, retiring in 1998.

Minnie was also preceded in death by her infant son, Bobbie Senter and a brother, Percy Jones.

Her spirit lives on through her husband, John Monroe Senter; daughters, Ellestine Senter and Beverly Elaine Senter; son, John Monroe Jr.; grandchildren, Camden Mauryce, Cardia LaMont, Tia Renee’ (Joshua), Kamaya Niesha.; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Antonio, Ariah, Kian, Braxton, Pryce, Bianca, Joshua Jr. and Samara; a sister, Arretta Bufkin and a host of  family and friends.

Mother Senter will be laid to rest in Covington Memorial Gardens
