Rose Calligan

 
ROSE CALLIGAN  was born October 13, 1934 in Sunset, La.  At the age of 87, she passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021.

Surviving are her devoted  children, Suzette  Samuel, Cephas A. Calligan, Sonda Calligan and Mark Calligan; sister, Gloria Hall of Port Arthur, Texas; brother, Sherman Roberts of Sunset, La.; six grandchildren whom she adored, James Bolton,  Ronald Calligan, LaKisha Woods, Jaque Reynolds, LaTasha Bolton and Ceara Ash,18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.

Ms. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rose Roberts; husband, Cephas Calligan; siblings, Ida Roberts, Irene Roque, Shirley Jolivette, Nelson Roberts, Adam Roberts and Walter Roberts; a grandson, Allen Bolton; and a goddaughter, Roslyn Irby.
 

Funeral Mass is noon Saturday, January  8, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 518 E. Dewald St., with visitation starting at 11 a.m.

She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
