Sandra Lee White was born on June 26, 1966 to Henry Lee Brunson and Jessie Mae White (Shelton) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sandy calmly transitioned in the home of her sister, Vickie Shelton surrounded by family members.
Sandy was educated in the Fort Wayne Community Schools system. Sandy came to know Christ at Kings Chapel COGIC and continued her fellowship at Oakridge Temple COGIC under the leadership of Elder Elisha Harris Jr. until her health began to fail.
Among her several passions in this life, Sandy loved word search puzzles, collecting recipes in her notebook, watching Family Feud on television, and her love of sweets and junk food is practically legendary.
Sometimes in life, we meet people who persuade us to examine ourselves. THAT was Sandy; her spirit was always captivating and genuine. She loved to entertain card parties and other activities at her home and spending just two minutes in the company of Sandy always compelled us to wonder about the power of God, and “are we doing enough” to show compassion to/for others.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Tywan White; six grandchildren, Shamar White and Shania White (Dayton, OH), Pikiea White, Emma Causey, Sky Juelliret, and Nas Juelliret (Fort Wayne, IN); sisters, Josie (Rodney) Baltimore (Dayton, OH), Vickie Shelton, Doris (Anthony) Rogers; brothers, Keith Shelton, Lee Charles Shelton; stepbrother, Anthony Shelton; Sandy’s longtime companion, Alvin Campbell; and as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding her in eternal rest are her parents, Henry Lee Brunson, and Jessie Mae Shelton; her stepfather, Joseph Daniel Shelton; her brother, Joseph “Junie” Shelton; sisters, Eugenia Lamb and Cynthia Brunson.
