Sharon Kay White was born on November 5, 1943. She was the third child born to Frances and James White in Fort Wayne, IN. Sharon departed this life on November 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was introduced to Christ at an early age and she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Samuel L. Walker Jr. Sharon completed her education at South Side High School and later retired from State Developmental Center after 40 years of dedicated service.

Sharon was the “mother“ of the family and she took on many roles of caring for everyone that needed her. She enjoyed fishing with her sister and being with family. She was an active member of Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served in the choir and on the missionary board. Wherever Sharon was, her presence was known and very much respected.

Sharon was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend and she will be missed, greatly. She is preceded in death by father, James White; mother, Frances White; brother, Vincent Winn; sisters, Alma White and Ronna Dale White; and close friends, Anna Reeves and Marion Manus.  

Sharon created a legacy of love that will forever be cherished throughout her family. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, son, Keith (Marlon) White Sr.;  daughter, Nicole White; sisters, Sandra White, and Ona Hollins; brother, Johnny Burney, special brother in law, Roger Brooks Sr.; grandchildren, DeMarcus (Chloè) White, DaSha (Demondre) White, Keith White Jr., Erin Jones, and Adrian Jones; favorite cousins, Robert Ervin and Marilyn (John) Rencher; special and longtime neighbors, The Billingsley Family and The Scott Family; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and additional family members and friends.
