Life Reflections of
Shirley Ann Sanders Walker the daughter of William and Louise Sanders, Sr. was born in Marion, Alabama on August 23, 1954.
She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at the Vilula Baptist Church in Marion. She moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1967. She attended Central High School and was employed as a Production Operator for TI Automotive.
Through the battle of her health she never gave up. Sometimes in the darkest most painful moments of her battle she would try hard to conceal it from those she loved. She was always trying to be the peacemaker. She loved family gatherings, playing Bingo and going to the Casino.
Cookie was 65 years of age when she passed from this life on Tuesday March 31, 2020 at Parkview Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her caring husband, Johnny L. Walker; a son, Gerald Sanders; five grandchildren, Lamarcus Ellis, Jaquelia Sanders, Isaaca Sanders, Kanijha White and Tre England; nine great-grandchildren; six brothers, William Sanders, Jr., James Sanders, Robert Sanders, David (Paula) Sanders, Louis Townes and Loveless Townes; and a sister, Peggy (William) Hagler; her in-laws, Fannie Sanders, Jeanette Curry, Gloria Walker, Ruby (Louis) Gibson, Eugene Walker, Lou David Walker, Napolean Curry and Timothy Curry; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
