Simms Eddie Elam, was born in Logan, WV on November 22, 1936.  He was a truck driver for over 35 years.  He had a great love for family and pets, especially his Black Lab, Kooper.  

He is survived by his son, Terry Elam (Winder, GA) and his daughters, Kimberly Elam Dufour and Patricia Elam Payne (both of Ft. Wayne, IN); his grandchildren, Abbagail Hyder, Terrance Elam, Erin Elam, and Kody Elam;  as well as his great-grandchildren, Adali, Tippi, Benjamin, Cidney, Barrett, Zaiden, and Ari.

He is also survived by 3 of his 7 siblings: his sisters, Shelby Corley (of Missouri) and Carol Elam (of Chicago, IL) and his brother, Larry Elam (of Ft. Wayne).  

Finally, Simms was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Harvey Elam and his son, Larry Dale Elam.
