Thurman "T.C." Charles Brown Obituary

Thurman Charles "T.C." Brown was born March 19, 1964 to the late Charles and Elizabeth "Crack" Brown in Fort Wayne, IN and departed this life on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The baby boy of five children, T.C. accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Clyde Adams where he was a member of the young adult choir.

T.C. attended Elmhurst High School graduating in 1982 where he played on the football team and ran track. After high school T.C. played semi-pro football and also coached metro football for many years.

T.C. was employed at Wood Youth Center for many years after which he then went to work for Fort Wayne Community Schools where he retired in 2023 after 36 years. T.C. loved his job and working with children as he had found his passion of serving and mentoring others while employed at FWCS. T.C. touched the heart of many; not only his students but also their parents and families; to know him was to definitely love him.

T.C. leaves to cherish his memory; his son, Adoness (Angelica) Brown; granddaughter, Sophia Blair all of Ft. Wayne, IN; sisters, Carlotta Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN and Juanita Ashford of Buena Park, CA; brothers, Rodney and Robert (Teresa) McDonald all of Ft. Wayne, IN; nieces, Colette Brown and Rondrea Taylor of Ft. Wayne, IN, Summer McDonald, Janelle (Cody) Clark of Charlotte, NC and Keyona (Adrien) Peterson of Oklahoma City, OK; aunt Marlene "Tillie" McDonald of Ft. Wayne, IN; very close/best friends, Bruce (Jeannie) Stephans, Carl (Diane) Stewart and Arthur (Sabrina) Ware III all of Ft. Wayne, IN; two god sons, Juwuan Stewart of Ft. Wayne, IN and CarVaughn Page of Loganville, GA; god daughter, Marchell Smith of Indianapolis, IN and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends who will miss T.C., his advice, kindness and love.

T.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth "Crack" Brown; sister, Colette Brown; maternal grandparents, Bertha and Elijah "Flute" McDonald; nephew, Robert "Watts" Hatch; niece, Tomanesha White-Rodgis and great nephew, L'Darreis "D.D." Graham.
