Darryl DeWayne Moore was born April 28, 1966 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was a lifelong resident.
As a young child Darryl accepted Christ and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church. He later rededicated his life to God when he joined Victory Worship Center.
Darryl graduated from R. Nelson Snider High School in 1984. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps receiving his honorable discharge in October 1988.
Darryl enjoyed cars, sports and spending time with his sons. He prided himself on his cooking skills and loved to enjoy a good meal. During his time in the military he traveled to many countries, met different people and explored other cultures.
Darryl is survived by his parents, Dorothy M. Moore and Curtis L. (Maybelline - deceased) Hurse Jr.; his fiancé, DeWanda Shelton; his children, Damian Shelton, Bryant Shelton, Darryl Shelton and Derrian Moore; siblings, Curtis Lee (Kim) Hurse, Curtis Lamont (Annette) Hurse, Donna (Lewis) Shank, Christopher (Felisha) Hurse, Cory (Molly) Hurse, Camisha Carter, Courtney (Myisha) Hurse and Cordell (Meisha) Hurse, along with his grandchildren, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pastor David Moore of Victory Worship Center will be the Eulogist
Darryl will be laid to rest in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery
