Jamont was someone very special. He had such a passion for so many different genres of music. I'm glad he was able to share that with me & awaken my love for music again. Drum Off Competition 2015, he was so determined to make it. I was so proud of him & I promised him I would do any & everything in my power to make sure he was able to go to each city. He practiced day & night & made it past 2 rounds. He always knew how to make you laugh & that is the 1 precious gift that he gave to each & every person he encountered. That was his purpose in life, to touch everyone he knew in a special way. And he was loved by so many. I'll miss him so much. After all is said & done he was a great friend.

My condolences to the family. I met Jamont during my time in Ft Wayne, while attending Greater Progressive. He did not say much, but the one thing I remember the most was I rarely saw him with out a smile. He was a great musician, and his will sorely missed. I'm still in shock and disbelief, but rest easy my brother until we meet again.
