Leanzie M. Kelsaw was born on February 19, 1955 to Morristine and Leanbirgh Fitts, in Byhalia Mississippi, she was one of eleven children.  At the  of age 61, she passed away Saturday, October 2, 2016 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.  She later became a member of True Love Missionary Baptist Church where she previously served on the Usher Board. Later, she married her long-time love Richard Kelsaw on May 19, 1995. 

Leanzie leaves to cherish her loving memory her attentive and dedicated husband, Richard Kelsaw;  two amazing and loving daughters, Shavon Fitts and Jaocrece (Fred) Burford; step-daughter,  Devona Brooks; mother, Morristine Fitts; brother, Percy (Antoinette) Fitts; sisters, Ruthie Lucas, Gloria (George) Smith, Delores Fitts, Shirley (Walter) Robinson, Reola Monroe and Johanna Allen; seven grandchildren, Marquon Fitts, Maurice Jones, Dominique Kelsaw, Jasmine Buford, Fred Jr. Buford, Aa’Tiauna Miles and  Evelena Brooks, three great-grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, her best-friend, Joyce James, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leanbirgh Fitts Sr., brothers, Willie B. Fitts, Billy Ray Fitts, Leanbirgh Jr. Fitts, and sister-in-law, Leslie S. Ternae. 

Leanize will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
